Beinghunted. was launched as an online news-site in October 2001 and is considered the blue-print and predecessor to all modern “hype” websites: “Predating the likes of Hypebeast, Beinghunted. was in many ways one of the first media forays into street culture with substantial clout, due to equal parts of knowledge and exclusive product news” (via Hypebeast.com). In 2015 Beinghunted. terminated its retail engagements and re-booted as multi-disciplinary creative consultancy.
A few years after launching the newsfeed, the idea for a printed publication popped up in 2006. It ‘only’ took 10 years for it to come to life. Since 2016, they have published an annual magazine covering timeless subjects, items from the archive, features on art, design, and architecture.
