Update of Houdinis classic shell jacket in a parka style. Now in a 3-layer design with improved performance, a wider fit, and more durable pocket lining. Waterproof and breathable.
What makes it special Houdini’s design philosophy reimagines classic garments with added functionality. The parka, originally developed by the US military and later embraced by British mods, is here transformed into a modern, lightweight shell. By removing the lining, it becomes a versatile year-round piece: breathable in summer, warm with layers in winter.
How does it work Men’s One Parka II is built from Slate 3L, a waterproof, breathable shell fabric made from recycled and recyclable polyester. It’s lightweight yet durable enough for years of wear—whether in the city or the mountains. Features like a storm brim, shaped sleeve ends with inner cuffs, and water-repellent zippers offer full protection. Pockets are zippered for security, and both the membrane and water-repellent treatment are PFAS-free, ensuring high performance with low environmental impact.
When should I use it This parka is ideal for harsh weather, everyday wear, and outdoor adventures. Layer it for winter warmth or wear it solo in milder conditions. Designed with circularity in mind, it’s made from recyclable materials. Once worn out, return it to Houdini so the raw materials can be reused—reducing reliance on virgin resources and minimizing waste.

care instructions
- Air out garments instead of washing to save water, energy, and extend their lifespan
- Wash shell garments after exposure to salt water, heavy sweat, or dirt — these reduce breathability and water repellency
- Use a washing bag to prevent fiber shedding; dispose of lint in the trash, never rinse in water
- Machine wash cold with mild, eco-certified detergent (no fabric softener)
- Hang dry, then apply heat (dryer, iron, drying cabinet) to reactivate water-repellent finish
- Refresh DWR treatment when needed using organic spray or wash-in products only
sustainability
Recyclable Products with this label are made from materials that can be reused for new garments instead of becoming waste. Houdini aims to stop using virgin resources from the earth’s crust by 2030. To support circularity, please return worn-out garments to Houdini stores or partner retailers for recycling.
Circular products are made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibers. Unlike the linear model of extract–use–discard, this approach reuses existing materials to reduce environmental impact. Return worn-out garments to Houdini’s recycling units to help close the loop.
Recycled Garments with this label contain at least 50% recycled fibers, often more. Sources include old clothes and PET bottles. Houdini primarily uses recycled polyester, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester—up to 32% less CO₂ and 94% less water in some cases. The key shift: turning waste into raw material.
