Course de France: Bringing a Touch of Paris to Berlin

Course de France: Bringing a Touch of Paris to Berlin

by Tamara Adriazola

A few weeks ago, ARYS Store transformed into the starting point of a playful French-inspired adventure right in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. In the lead-up to the Berlin Marathon, we hosted Course de France, a neighborhood running event that blended sport, culture, and community in a unique way.

The event invited participants to experience Berlin on foot, guided by the spirit of Paris. Four teams raced through carefully selected French-inspired hotspots, collecting symbolic “slices of France” along the way. Each stop offered a playful challenge, encouraging runners to move quickly but also to enjoy the details and surprises woven into the neighborhood streets.

Back at ARYS Store, the challenge concluded with teams setting up the perfect Parisian bistro table, combining flair, style, and a touch of French charm. The fastest team earned special rewards, celebrating both their athletic effort and their creativity.

Beyond the run itself, the evening unfolded as a celebration of community, craftsmanship, and playful creativity. ARYS Store transformed into a cozy Parisian-inspired setting in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, welcoming guests with meticulously prepared French sandwiches and a selection of drinks that reflected Berlin’s innovative spirit. ODE Aperitif offered its signature naturally crafted aperitifs, delicate yet complex, blending Riesling with carefully chosen botanicals, while Zero Labs presented its unfiltered, alcohol-free brews, showcasing the precision and thoughtful experimentation behind each creation. The atmosphere was alive with music from Ben Olayinka.

At the center of the experience was the SuperNatural Runner, Circle Sportswear’s latest innovation. With an upper made from 75% bio-based materials including TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, the shoe demonstrated that sustainability and performance are not only compatible but can elevate each other. The collaboration with Circle Sportswear emphasized technical mastery and design precision, echoing ARYS Store’s commitment to curating functional and thoughtfully selected apparel and lifestyle objects.

The event drew not only runners but also members of the local community, curious to explore new experiences and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. Course de France proved that running events can transcend sport, creating spaces for inspiration, shared discoveries, and meaningful interactions.

Whether participants sprinted through the course or joined the lively afterparty, the evening celebrated thoughtful design, active lifestyles, and cultural playfulness. Course de France left a lasting impression, and anticipation is already building for the next ARYS Outdoor Club event, where Berlin’s community of runners and design lovers will gather once again for another memorable experience.
