WIM Kaffee
@wim_kaffee
Sonnenburger Str. 68, 10437 Berlin

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. The interior blends Eastern and Western influences in a way that gives the space a very distinctive character. On sunny days, sitting outside and watching people pass by feels especially calm. It’s one of those places where you can slow down for a moment. The coffee and food are both excellent as well.

Kiez Kaffee Kraft
@kiezkaffeekraft

Schivelbeiner Str. 23, 10439 Berlin

They have several locations across Berlin, but the one near Schönhauser Allee is my favorite. It’s close to my home and a comfortable place to bring a laptop and work for a while. The coffee is consistently good and the staff always have a warm, welcoming energy, which makes it easy to return again and again.

Knödelwirtschaft NORD
@knoedelwirtschaft
Stargarder Str. 3, 10437 Berlin

If I had to name the restaurant I’ve visited most often since moving to Berlin, it would probably be this one. I’ve brought many friends here when they visited from Korea, and even those who were not familiar with German cuisine really enjoyed it. The menu offers a variety of knödel dishes, which makes it fun to try several at once. Paired with a beer or a glass of wine, it easily turns into a very satisfying evening.

Babylon Kino
@babylonberlin
Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 30, 10178 Berlin

Babylon is one of my favorite cinemas in Berlin. The building has a beautiful historic atmosphere that feels very different from a typical modern theater. Founded in 1929, the cinema is almost a century old. They regularly show classic films, special screenings, and retrospectives, which makes each visit feel unique. Among so many contemporary cinemas today, this vintage space feels like a small treasure. It’s the perfect place to end the day with a film in a timeless setting.

From quiet cafés in Prenzlauer Berg to historic cinemas in the center of the city, Sangmin’s recommendations reflect the kind of places that shape everyday life in Berlin. Simple, welcoming spaces where good coffee, food, or a film can turn an ordinary day into something memorable.
