Houdini x Osprey: The Sound of Allt x BONAMASA

Some weeks ago at ARYS Store, we welcomed the launch of the new Houdini Osprey collection through a live performance by artist Bonamasa, who presented The Sound of Allt, a composition where live piano and synthesizer layers intertwined with recordings from the Scandinavian alpine landscape.
Houdini chose to introduce its latest collaboration with Osprey in an unexpected way. Instead of presenting the collection through a conventional launch, the brand turned to sound as a medium, translating technical design and environmental intent into a live, sensory experience. The idea found a natural home at ARYS Store, where collaboration is approached as a cultural conversation rather than a promotional exercise.
To bring the concept to life, sound artist Bonamasa travelled from Madrid to Berlin to perform a piece created exclusively for the occasion. Titled The Sound of Allt, the live set drew from field recordings captured across the four Scandinavian alpine seasons. Over the course of forty five minutes, live piano and synthesizer were woven together with natural sounds, forming a restrained, immersive composition that echoed the spirit of exploration and movement.
The performance offered another way to understand the Allt Series itself. Designed to move through every season, the collection focuses on versatility, durability, and long term use. Made from recycled and fully recyclable materials, the packs reflect Houdini’s commitment to circular design alongside Osprey’s long standing alpine expertise. The result is technical equipment that feels purposeful without being overstated.
The evening was shaped by a careful attention to atmosphere. A custom sound system by DAHLE DOHR defined the acoustics of the space, while natural Japanese wines selected by Raybun Funaki and refined aperitifs by ODE added a quiet sense of ritual. Together, these elements created a setting where sound, design, and material awareness felt closely connected.
What unfolded was less a product launch than a reflection on how design can be experienced. Through sound, collaboration, and restraint, the Allt collection was introduced as part of a wider conversation about exploration, responsibility, and the ways we choose to move through the world.
